<h2>Rise of The Pirate God Walkthrough, Tales of Monkey Island Chapter 5</h2>
<p>After the opening cutscene, pick up dirt from above you.  Do this again to escape.  Walkthrough to the right and talk to the Ferryman about his boat.  Mention how clean it is.  Use the dirt of the boat, then talk to the Ferryman about a spot of dirt he&#8217;s missed.  While he is distracted, take some <strong>money</strong> from the tip jar.  Use this in the Grog machine and press the change return slot to get two <strong>coins</strong>.  Give these coins to the Ferryman and he&#8217;ll take you to the Crossroads.</p>
<p>Get in the boat and navigate to the sword fighting area in the North.  Go up the stairs and the click on the mast to climb it.  Talk to Morgan LaFlay, then pick up the ghost&#8217;s <strong>sword</strong> from the decapitated head and used the sword on Morgan La Flay.  When sword fighting, use the actions that complement Morgan and insult the sword fighting ghost.</p>
<p>Head to the Treasure Hunter area and touch the sign and you will pick up the bone that falls off.  Talk to the treasure hunter and ask him to show you how the treasure hunting works, when he leaves pick up the <strong>bejewelled anchor</strong>.</p>
<p>Jump back into the boat and head back to The Gateway. The Ferryman is gone, so pick up the <strong>tip jar</strong>, and go buy a <strong>grog</strong> (regular) from the Grog machine, then use the bone on Franklin the dog. Pick him up and use the sock with the dog &#8211; he runs to the Center Crossroads.</p>
<p>Follow him to Galeb and buy your<strong> photo</strong> from him (you now have moneys yey!), then use the sock on Galeb to get the <strong>treasure chest</strong>. Take the treasure chest to the Thief and ask him to open it. He steals the <strong>scroll</strong> and puts it in the pile. Talk to him and get him to look behind him, use the sock with dog once more, then use the dog with the pile.  Head over to the Treasure Hunting area and use the sock with the dog again to find the <strong>Voodoo spell</strong>.</p>
<p>Sail to the Centre Crossroads and use the anchor, the dog and use the grog on the X.  Head back to Morgan LeFlay in the sword fighting area and ask her about the final ingredient until she takes you back to the &#8216;x&#8217; at the centre Crossroads. [cutscene]</p>
<p>When the cutscene ends with Guybrush on the deck of LeChuck&#8217;s ship, try to pick up the sword stuck in the mast. [cutscene]</p>
<p>Back at The Crossroads &#8230; Sail Gateway and enter the rip. Talk to Winslow, then jump into the water. Walk to the far right and speak to Anenome.  Tell Anenome that Winslow is here. Head back up and talk to Wilmslow, tell him about Anenome and he will send a poem down to her. Jump back in and over to Anenome. Tell her Winslow and she will swim out, blowing the seaweed so that the <strong>locket</strong> is directly above the clam. Walk up to the clam, then away so the clam shoots a bubble, pulling the bag and locket to the surface. Head back up and talk to Winslow.  You&#8217;ll explain to him that the locket is yours, but you cannot pick it up just now!  Put your picture (you bought from Galeb)  (in the locket and ask Winslow to push the button.</p>
<p>[as zombie Guybrush] Surrender to be two guys in the bar. When you are taken to the jail, pull out the loose brick to discover a <strong>diary</strong>, pick it up and read it. After a few moments, you will leave your body.</p>
<p>Head back to the Swordfighting area and through the rip. Talk to Bugeye about how he escaped the manatee (tell him what you read in his diary). He gets mad and pulls a face, copy his face exactly (the ultimate insult). He will be taken to jail.  This time if you ask Winslow to press the button and you surrender, you will be taken to the next cell. Notice the <strong>gum</strong>, pick up the<strong> mug</strong> on the barred window and the <strong>poster</strong> on the right.</p>
<p>Go back to the bar as a ghost and scare the dart thrower, he will throw a dart at the rootbeer, causing it to fall into the mug. Go back to Winslow and into zombie Guybrush! Surrender again and use the mug of rootbeer on the gum to find the <strong>spirit gum</strong>. [cutscene]</p>
<p>Walkthrough to the treasure hunting area and through the rip to meet the Voodoo Lady (now in the body of a dead seagull!). Tell her you want to shrink the Sponge. Keep talking until she disappears again.  Pick the lock of the chest with your hook and open it to get LeChucks <strong>belt buckle</strong>. Touch the seagull with your hook and pick up th <strong>feather</strong> that falls nearby.</p>
<p>Head back to the Gateway and talk to Galeb about lifting the curse and he&#8217;ll give you the recipe for the Diet of the Senses spell.  Go to The Thief and show him LeChucks buckle. Talk to him about his secret, then when he&#8217;s done talking pick up the box, he&#8217;ll let you have it.</p>
<p>Head back to the bar in Flotsam, pick up the <strong>blindfold</strong>, tell the bartender you surrender and he&#8217;ll put you in jail. Pick up the (bland) <strong>ABC gum</strong> from the ceiling. Walkthrough to the gateway and to Winslow (or where Winslow was!), pick up the <strong>deodorant</strong> and dive into the ocean pick up the <strong>fishing net</strong>.  Head back to the surface and to the treasure hunting area.  Dig any cross and use the fishing net on the miniature pyrite parots when they alight on the sign.  Put them in the empty tips jar.  Go to La Sponga and use the :- the blindfold, jar of mini pyrite parots, the feather, the secret box, the deoderant, then the gum to complete the spell [long cutscene]</p>
<h2>Beating LeChuck in the Rise of the Pirate God</h2>
<p>You are fighting with LeChuck, who will knock you all over the place! When you are in the crows nest, use your hook on the main sail and you&#8217;ll do the ultimate pirate move of ripping down the mainsale with your hook! (Yargh!).  At the bottom, talk to Elaine and ask her to attack LeChuck.  When he keelhauls you, you should stop half way when Elain is attacking LeChuck.  When here, get the <strong>ring of keys</strong> from the skeletons under the ship. When you are back on deck, use the key in the locked gate and a barrels will roll out. When you&#8217;re in the scene with the broken door (don&#8217;t worry you&#8217;ll get knocked down eventually!), pick it up and lay it across the barrel to make a see saw!</p>
<p>Shout to Elaine and ask her to light the cannon, then to attack LeChuck. Wait for LeChuck to punch you to the crows nest, use the hook on the rope and in the next scene wait for LeChuck to knock you off. Stand on the see saw and when he jumps down, you are catapulted into the cannon and shot back to the Crossroads. Use the shred of life with the portal and you get trapped in the Crossroads. Use the ring with the Centre Crossroads.</p>

<h2>Part I &#8211; The Three Trials.</h2>
<p>If I could start this walkthrough with a little bit of a review, it would be simply that The Curse of Monkey Island TM is one of the greatest point and click adventure games of all time! Now it has been re-released as a special edition with voice actors from the newer games, as well as improved graphical animation to introduce this classic point and click adventure game to a whole new generation</p>
<p>The game begins with a little preamble none of which is supposed to make any sense to you yet!<br />

<p>walk down the mountain side after you&rsquo;ve spoken with the lookout guy, then head to the right until you come to The Scumm Bar (TM).   Enter.  You don&#8217;t have to talk to anyone here, but if you are new to Monkey Island it will help build background.  You could probably start by talking to &#8216;Mancomb Seepgood&#8217;, or the dog.</p>
<p>Walkthrough to the right past the curtain and you will find the three important-looking pirates. Talk to the pirates, tell them you want to be a mighty pirate, they will mention <strong>&ldquo;the tree trials&rdquo;</strong> &#8211; mastery of the sword, thievery and treasure &#8211; er &#8211; huntery.  Wait until you see the cook walkthrough to the left of the curtain and sneak into the <strong>kitchen</strong> on the right.  Pick up the <strong>hunk of meat</strong> from the table, the <strong>pot</strong> from underneath, use the meat in the cooking pot (on the stove), then pick it up again (it&rsquo;s now <strong>stewed meat</strong>).  Open the door on the right and walkthrough to the far right.  Guybrush kicks the plank, disturbing the <strong>seagull</strong>.  Keep doing this until you can pick the <strong>red herring</strong>.  Leave the Scumm Bar (TM) <em>cutscene</em>&#8230;</p>
<p>When the cutscene has finished, exit back the way you came towards the lookout point and walkthrough to the top right until you come to the map of Mêlée Island TM.  Hover over the blip just to the North East of where you are, marked &ldquo;clearing&rsquo;.  Enter the circus tent you find, talk to the <strong>Fettucini brothers</strong>.  They will ask if you want to try a death defying feat being fired out of their cannon.  Agree to give it a try, and when they ask for your helmet, show them the <strong>pot</strong>.  You will be fired out of the cannon, and when you say something the Fettucini brothers they will breathe a sigh of relief, and give you <strong>478 pieces of eight!</strong> woohoo!</p>
<p>Leave the tent and walkthrough onto the map, then walk back to the lookout point, past the Scumm Bar (TM) and through into town.  Speak to the <strong>citizen of Mêlée</strong> and tell him your name is Sven, he will give you a map to the legendary lost treasure of Mêlée Island (or is it?) for 100 pieces of eight.  Buy it from him.  Speak to the three pirates further on the left, hover your mouse over the rat until it runs away and talk to them.  Keep going until they give you the <strong>minutes</strong> (and two pieces of eight!).</p>
<p>Next, go through the first door on the right, pickup the <strong>rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle</strong> from on top of the trunk. Walkthrough the shop to the right talk with the <strong>voodoo lady</strong>. She will tell your fortune, talk to her about everything, leave her house and continue through the archway.</p>
<p>You will hear someone saying &#8220;Psssst&#8221; from the alley. Walk into the alley. Here you will meet the law of the land, <strong>Fester Shinetop</strong>. . Talk to him and leave the alley when you are done. Enter the right door. It leads into the shop. When you enter the <strong>shopkeeper </strong>will start talking to you, if he’s not there ring the bell and he will come toddling along. Go up the stairs and pick up the <strong>shovel</strong> next to the <strong>safe</strong>. Go down again and pick up the <strong>sword</strong> on -top of the red chest. Go talk to the <strong>shopkeeper</strong> and tell him you wish to buy the <strong>shovel</strong> and the <strong>sword</strong>. Don&#8217;t ask him who you can test the <strong>sword </strong>on yet, that will come later.</p>
<p>Leave the shop and walkthrough up to the top of the cliff and onto the map. Go to the place named &#8220;house&#8221;, it’s the area furthest to the right. You will be stopped at a bridge, where a <strong>troll</strong> blocks your path. Talk with him and then give him the <strong>red herring</strong>. He will then let you pass. (Notice that it&#8217;s George Lucas in a costume when he&#8217;s eating it!) Click the area called &#8220;house&#8221; again. When you get there you will see a house with a sign outside it. It is <strong>Captain Smirk</strong><strong>’</strong><strong>s</strong> house and he takes 30 pieces of eight for a sword fighting lesson. Knock on the door and <strong>Captain Smirk</strong> will greet you. Talk with him and get him to train you. During this conversation you’ll also hear about Carla, the <strong>Sword Master</strong>. When he agrees to train <strong>Guybrush</strong> they go into his house. You’ll see a cutscene of <strong>Guybrush</strong> getting trained. (You have to choose a few lines of speech during the cutscene.) Now you’re trained in sword fighting!</p>
<p>Now you have to learn some insults so you can beat Carla, the Sword Master, and complete one of the three trials. Go back onto the map you will now see a lot of other white dots running around on the map. These are other pirates and you have to fight them to learn the sword fighting insults and witty comebacks. Say the line prepare to die. The sword fight will begin. The pirate will use an insult and you have to respond with the appropriate comback. You probably won’t win the first few times, but you will gradually learn some insults and comebacks. Keep doing this with other pirate also until one of them says &#8220;Wow! Youپfre good enough to fight the Sword Master.&#8221; Now you are ready to fight the <strong>Sword Master</strong>! To find her, go back to the shop and talk to the <strong>storekeeper</strong>. Say, &#8220;I’m looking for the Sword Master of Mêlée Island TM&#8221;. The <strong>storekeeper</strong>agrees to hike all the way over to the <strong>Sword Master</strong>and ask her if he can show you her hideout.</p>
<p>As soon as he has left the shop, follow him! Open the door and go outside. You’ll see him walking away, follow him. When you get to the map, the <strong>storekeeper</strong> is the only blip on the map, follow him into the fork. Once inside the fork, keep following him and you’ll soon find the <strong>Sword Master</strong>. After the <strong>storekeeper</strong> has left, approach her and talk to her. Soon you’ll be in a fight with her. Now you have to fight her like you fought the pirates, but she uses other insults so you have to find a comeback that matches it. When you win she’ll give you a <strong>T-shirt</strong> to prove this.</p>
<p>Walkthrough into the forest and choose one of the paths, it doesn&#8217;t matter which one you choose. You’ll end up near some <strong>yellow flowers,</strong> pick them (Guybrush notes how this is not very pirate like). Now you need to find the buried treasure, to do this you need to look at the <strong>map</strong> you bought from the <strong>citizen of M</strong><strong>ê</strong><strong>l</strong><strong>é</strong><strong>e</strong>. First go back to the first part of the forest and look at the <strong>map,</strong> if it says &#8220;Back! Two-Three-Four!! Just ignore the &#8220;Two-Three-Four!&#8221; simply follow the first word. Left being left and right, right but back is away from screen. Now, simply follow the <strong>map</strong> and you’ll soon be at a part of the forest that looks a little bit different than the rest. Walkthrough to the right of the screen, woohoo! There’s the X! Use the <strong>shovel</strong> on the X You’ll see a cutscene of Guybrush digging and finding another <strong>T-shirt</strong> to prove he has found the legendary lost treasure of Mêlée Island TM.</p>
<p>Walkthrough to the town and past the shop to the governor&#8217;s mansion. You now have to steal the <strong>Idol of Many Hands.</strong> There are guard dogs blocking you, use the <strong>yellow petal</strong> with the <strong>stewed meat </strong>and hey presto you’ve got <strong>meat with condiment</strong>. Give it to the guard dogs and they’ll fall asleep. Open the front door and go inside Governor Marley’s mansion. Open the door next to the vase and go in, <strong>Fester Shinetop</strong> will appear. He tries to arrest you and there’s a big fight scene. You escape and <strong>Fester Shinetop</strong> is trapped. As you realized during the fight, you need a <strong>file</strong> to open the lock to the <strong>Idol of Many Hands</strong>.</p>
<p>Leave the mansion and walkthrough to the jail. Inside is a prisoner called <strong>Otis</strong>. Talk to him and you’ll learn that <strong>Guybrush</strong> wont talk to him because he has very bad breath! Go buy some <strong>breath mints</strong> in the store and give them to <strong>Otis</strong>. Talk to him about everything. Give him the <strong>gopher repellent</strong>. He’ll then give you a <strong>carrot cake</strong>. Open the <strong>carrot cake</strong>, you’ll find a <strong>file </strong>inside it. Walkthrough to the mansion and crawl through the hole in the wall that <strong>Guybrush</strong> made during the fight). Another cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>When asked for an explanation, choose any option. Now you’ll meet the gorgeous <strong>governor Marley</strong> and she saves your rugged behind. After you flirt with <strong>governor Marley,</strong> walktthrough the front door outside again. Cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>Now you need to get up. Pick up the <strong>idol</strong>. <strong>Guybrush</strong> will pick up a sword and climb up. When you get up you’ll see a ghost ship sailing away, cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>Now you need to get a ship and gather a crew of three people, but first walkthrough to the Scumm Bar and you will find the <strong>cook</strong> crying at the table where the three <strong>important-looking-pirates</strong> were. Talk to him about everything. When you are leaving, pick up all the mugs you can find. (There are five of them, grab them all). Walkthrough to the world map towards the group of lights there called <strong>lights</strong>. Here you will be greeted by the ultimate comedy video game character <strong>Stan</strong>. He’ll show you some ships, ask about the one that’s half submerged. Get him to show you a ship and then say, &#8220;Actually, I was hoping to get one on credit&#8221;. He’ll say he doesn’t give credit, but that if you had a job the <strong>storekeeper </strong>might.</p>
<p>Leave <strong>Stan&#8217;s Previously Owned Vessels</strong> and walkthrough talk to the <strong>storekeeper, Stan</strong> gave you a <strong>compass</strong> when you left. Tell the <strong>storekeeper</strong> you need some credit, then lie and say you do have a job. He’ll go get a <strong>note</strong> from the safe, write down the combination he uses. He’ll then ask you what your job is, you&#8217;ll have to fess up and say you don’t have a job. The <strong>storekeeper</strong> will put the <strong>note</strong> back in the safe, this gives you another chance to see the combination. When he gets back, tell him you are looking for the <strong>Sword Master </strong>again, as before he’ll hike all the way over to her again and you are left all alone in the store. Go up and repeat the combination. (Push or pull the lever). Get the <strong>note</strong> out, now you have a note of 5000 pieces of eight! Woohoo crime does pay!</p>
<p>Walkthrough to <strong>Stan </strong>and tell him you haven’t got much to spend. He’ll show you the ship we want. Then tell him you’ve got a <strong>note</strong> from the <strong>storekeeper</strong>. <strong>Stan</strong> tells you he wants 10000 pieces of eight for it, but you only have 5000, so you need to barter. Ask him about extras and say, &#8220;I think I can live without that particular piece of junk&#8221; to everything he says. Do that for a while and then say &#8220;Enough about extras, already&#8221; and ask him what he thinks it’s worth. If the price is 7300, tell him you didn’t want the ship anyway. He calls you back and says he now think it’s worth 6300 pieces of eight. Make him the offer of 5000 pieces of eight. He’ll take it and you’ve got a ship, YAY!</p>
<p>Now you need to get 3 crew members, first we will go get the <strong>Sword Master,</strong> walkthrough to her hideout again. click on the blip named <strong>Sword Master</strong> on the map. Talk to her and tell her that the governor has been kidnapped. She will join your crew. Walkthrough to the map, cutscenec</p>
<p>On the island map click the blip to the North East called <strong>Island</strong>. When you get there you’ll see <strong>Hook Island</strong>. To get over there; use the <strong>rubber chicken</strong> with the cable Wheee! Open the door to the house and go in. Now you will meet <strong>Meathook</strong>. (Ask him about his tattoo! For the lulz!)Tell him the governor has been kidnapped, and that you are gathering a crew to go after her. He’ll agree to you being the captain on one condition, that you prove your courage by touching the <strong>winged devil!</strong> Open the small door and see a parrot! Just touch and <strong>Meathook</strong> is a member of your crew.</p>
<p>Walkthrough to the prison and talk to <strong>Otis</strong> and tell him that the governor has been kidnapped. Ask him if he will join your crew if you let him out. He agrees so now walkthrough to the Scumm Bar kitchen. Fill one of the <strong>mugs</strong> with grog from the barrel. The grog dissolves through the <strong>mug</strong> very fast; so on your way back to the prison poor it into the other <strong>mugs</strong> before it dissolves through all of them one at a time. When you reach the prison, use the grog on the lock of <strong>Otis</strong>’ cell. Now walkthrough to the dock, beside the Scumm Bar. There you’ll meet <strong>Stan</strong> and the other crew members. They will ask some questions, answer them and you’ll be on your way, cutscenec</p>
<h2>Part II &#8211; The journey</h2>
<p>After the cutscene, where you discover that your crew is rather lazy, you start of fin the captain’s cabin. Open the drawer, look inside it and <strong>Guybrush</strong> will pick up an old book. It is the <strong>captain’s log</strong>. If you read it, this is a story all about how a Captain and a <strong>Mr. Toothrot</strong> mysteriously ended up on Monkey Island TM and you’ll discover that they used the top of a box of breakfast cereal as a bookmark. Pick up the <strong>feathered quill</strong> and the <strong>ink well</strong> from the desk. Leave the room and climb up the rope ladder by the mast, when you are at the top of it pick up the <strong>Jolly Roger </strong>from the crow’s nest, clamber back down to the deck and go down the hatch. Now you see a door and another hatch. Crawl down through the next hatch, down in the storage room, pick up the <strong>giant piece of rope.</strong> Open the red chest and look inside it. You will pick up some <strong>fine wine,</strong> now open the kegs in the left side of the room (<strong>Guybrush</strong> will pick some <strong>gunpowder</strong>). Crawl back up through the hatch and enter the door. You are now in the kitchen. Pick up the <strong>pot</strong> from the table and open the cabin on the left, pick up a cereal box and open it. You will find a <strong>toy prize</strong> inside it, look at it, it’s a <strong>key</strong>! Walkthrough to the captain’s cabin and use the key in the cabinet, there’s a chest inside, pick it up, <strong>Guybrush</strong> will put in one the floor. Open it up and look inside it. <strong>Guybrush</strong> will pick up a <strong>piece of paper</strong> and some <strong>cinnamon sticks</strong>. Look at the paper; it’s a recipe for a voodoo spell that will lead you mystically to Monkey Island TM . Walthrough to the kitchen, in the voodoo recipe are the things you need to put in the cooking pot: <strong>Cinnamon sticks</strong>, <strong>fine wine</strong>, <strong>jolly roger</strong>, <strong>gunpowder</strong>, <strong>ink</strong>, <strong>breath mints</strong>, <strong>the rubber chicken</strong>, and the <strong>cereal</strong>. That will create the voodoo spell that will transport you to Monkey Island TM, with a cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>After the cutscene <strong>Guybrush</strong> is unconscious on the floor. Click anywhere on the screen and he will start to wake up. Walkthrough to the deck and you’ll discover that you are off the coast of Monkey Island TM. Walkthrough to the storage room and pick up some more <strong>gunpowder</strong>, Walkthrough to the deck and use the <strong>gunpowder</strong> in the cannon’s nozzle then use the <strong>giant piece of rope</strong> with the rear of the cannon. Now walkthrough to the kitchen and use the <strong>cereal box top bookmark </strong>in the cooking fire under the pot. You will now have a <strong>flaming mass.</strong> Walkthrough to the deck and light the fuse with the <strong>flaming mass</strong> and quickly use the <strong>pot, </strong>remember the circus? <strong>Guybrush </strong>will put on the <strong>pot</strong> and crawl in the cannon and get shot out. If you’re not fast enough you can try again.</p>
<h3>Part III &#8211; Under Monkey Island TM</h3>
<p>You’ll find yourself lying unconscious (again!) on the <strong>beach</strong> of Monkey Island TM, <strong>Herman</strong> <strong>Toothrot</strong> introduces himself and welcomes you to Monkey Island TM. Since you’re just lying there unconscious, <strong>Herman</strong> leaves into the <strong>jungle</strong>. Click anywhere on the screen and you will wake up. Pick up the <strong>banana</strong> lying next to the <strong>tree</strong> and read the note pinned to the <strong>tree</strong>. Walkthrough into the <strong>jungle</strong> and you’ll see the map of the island, Monkey Island TM is so huge that the whole map can’t fit on the screen (just be glad you don’t have to change disks every 15 minutes!) so walkthrough to the North West corner and walkthrough to the next screen. Now walkthrough to the <strong>fort</strong>, pick up the <strong>rope</strong> and the <strong>spyglass</strong>. Push the <strong>cannon</strong>, some <strong>gunpowder</strong> and a <strong>cannonball</strong> will fall out. <strong>Herman</strong> walks in, talk to him. When he leaves after your conversation, pick up the <strong>gunpowder</strong> and the <strong>cannonball</strong>. Leave the <strong>fort</strong> and walkthrough to the East of the map. Go to the place named <strong>river</strong> <strong>fork</strong>. There’s a <strong>note</strong> with a <strong>rock</strong> on top of it, pick up both of them and read the <strong>note</strong>. Examine at the <strong>rock</strong>, it’s a piece of <strong>flint</strong>, now walkthrough over the <strong>bridge</strong> and climb up the <strong>footholds</strong>. You’ll find some primitive art (which is a <strong>catapult</strong>) and another <strong>note</strong>, read it. Climb up the next set of <strong>footholds</strong>. You are now at the highest spot on Monkey Island TM. <strong>Herman</strong> will walk in again, talk to him some more till you’re bored I guess. When he’s gone you can see your ship on the horizon and a <strong>banana</strong> <strong>tree</strong> on the beach. You have to hit the <strong>banana</strong> <strong>tree</strong> with the <strong>catapult</strong> you saw before. Use the <strong>spyglass</strong>, <strong>Guybrush</strong> will look in the direction that the <strong>catapult</strong> is aiming. He’ll say he can see his ship, which you can hit with the catapult, but it is entirely optional to do that and changes the ending of the game!</p>
<p>Go down to the catapult. Push or pull a few times and use the <strong>spyglass</strong> to check which direction it is aiming. When <strong>Guybrush</strong> says he can see the <strong>banana</strong> <strong>tree</strong> you are ready to FIRE! Walthrough to the footholds and push the <strong>rock</strong> sitting at the edge of the cliff. Climb down to the <strong>bridge</strong> again and walkthrough over to the <strong>dam</strong>. Use the <strong>gunpowder</strong> on the <strong>dam</strong> then use the piece of <strong>flint</strong> with the <strong>cannonball</strong>. It will blow a hole in the <strong>dam</strong> and flood the blocked riverbed. Walkthrough to the place on the map named <strong>pond</strong>. Read the <strong>note.</strong> <strong>Herman</strong> will walk on again. Talk to him a little bit more, then pick up the <strong>rope</strong> from underneath the <strong>unhealthy looking man.</strong> Walkthrogh onto the map and head South, on the next screen of the map walkthrough to the <strong>beach</strong>. Walkthrough to the left and pick up the two new <strong>bananas</strong> on the <strong>beach</strong>. Walkthrough into the <strong>jungle</strong> again and head to the place marked <strong>crack</strong>. Here you need to the two <strong>ropes</strong> on the <strong>branch </strong>and the <strong>sturdy stump</strong> to get down to the <strong>oars</strong>. Climb down each <strong>rope</strong> and pick up the <strong>oars</strong> and climb back up then walkthrough onto the map. Walkthrough to the beach, use the <strong>oars</strong> with the <strong>rowboat</strong> and you have yourself a leisure craft to take round the island Row North East, then row around the peninsula and continue heading North, then land on the <strong>beach</strong>. <strong>Herman</strong> will once again walk on with some sage advice. Read the <strong>note</strong> and walkthrough to the jungle and head to the place named <strong>village</strong>. You are now in the <strong>Cannibals village</strong>, walkthrough to the left and pick up the <strong>bananas</strong> from the <strong>bowl of fruit</strong>. Now walkthrough to the right an the <strong>Cannibals</strong> will capture you. Talk to them for a while and you’ll end up locked in their <strong>guest hut</strong>. Read the <strong>memo,</strong> there is <strong>Herman’s</strong> <strong>banana picker</strong>, but you can’t take it just yet. Pick up the <strong>skull</strong> off the floor and open the loose board beneath it. Crawl down through the hole in the floor. You should escape while the <strong>Cannibals</strong> are talking to each other. Now walkthrough to the <strong>beach</strong> and row back to the Southern <strong>beach</strong>. Walkthrough to the jungle and go to the grey <strong>monkey </strong>blip, he’s running around<strong> </strong>on the map. Give him the five <strong>bananas</strong> you have. He will now follow you, YAY a pet monkey! Walkthrough into the jungle again Go North to the next screen of the map and walkthrough to the East to next screen, head to the place marked <strong>clearing</strong>. Walkthrough to the right until you get to the fence surrounding the <strong>Great Monkey Head</strong>. Pull the middle nose on the <strong>totem pole</strong>. The <strong>gate</strong> opens, but when you let go, it closes again. The <strong>monkey</strong> should then take over helpfully pulling the nose. Walkthrough the gate, there are some idols around the front of the <strong>Great</strong> <strong>Monkey</strong> <strong>Head</strong>. Pick up the little one named <strong>wimpy little idol</strong>. Now walkthrough back to the beach and row back to the <strong>Cannibals</strong> <strong>village</strong>. Walkthrough from the gate to the hut where you were imprisoned, walk back towards the entrance again. Now the <strong>Cannibals </strong>are back. Say, &#8220;Don’t eat me! I’ll give you anything!&#8221; The will ask for an item in return for sparing your life, offer them the <strong>wimpy little idol</strong>. They agree to the deal and leave. Now that the hut is open walkthrough the door. Pick up the <strong>banana picker</strong> and get out of there. Go to the right and you’ll meet <strong>Herman </strong>yet again, that guy sure gets around! Talk to him and tell him that you have his <strong>banana</strong> <strong>picker</strong>. <strong>Guybrush</strong> will give it to him and in return <strong>Herman</strong> will give <strong>Guybrush</strong> the <strong>monkey head key</strong> (A giant cotton bud, guess what hole in the <strong>great monkey head </strong>this goes in!). Now walkthrough and row all the way back to the <strong>Great Monkey Head</strong>. Use the <strong>monkey head key </strong>in it’s giant ear. The entrance will open up, walkthrough it’s mouth inside. Now go all the way to the right of the room until you get to the next room. It’s impossible to find your way through these catacombs, so go back outside and row all the way back to the <strong>Cannibals</strong>. Tell them that there is a way they can repay you. When they ask how, tell them that you are looking for somebody. Then tell them it’s okay, the people you’re looking for aren’t living. You’ll find out that they normally make a potion which gets rid of the undead. Ask them why they can’t do that now. They tell you that the principal ingredient is a rare <strong>root</strong>, which ghost pirate Captain <strong>LeChuck</strong> has stolen from them. Ask where he is hiding it and then ask why they can’t just go down there and kick him out. Then proclaim that you’re off to find <strong>LeChuck</strong> and get the <strong>root</strong>! The <strong>Cannibals</strong> tell you that you need something to find him, but they won’t tell you what it is. Ask them why they are talking in pig Latin. They then fess up and explain that it’s a <strong>Navigators head</strong>, and that you can’t find your way through the catacombs without it. When they start talking to each other again, give them the <strong>leaflet </strong>from your inventory. It can help them get a new head, so they give you the <strong>Navigators head</strong>. They tell you that the <strong>necklace</strong> makes it invisible to ghosts (how handy!) and that you should follow its nose and it will lead you to your nemesis <strong>LeChuck</strong>.</p>
<p>Now row and walkthrough all the way back to the <strong>Great Monkey Head</strong> and go inside. Walkthrough all the way to the right until you get to the next room. Now look at the <strong>Navigators head,</strong> <strong>Guybrush</strong> will say out loud which direction his nose is pointing, walkthrough in that direction and continue in this fashion in every room. Finally you will get to <strong>LeChuck’s</strong> ghost pirate ship. Now talk to the <strong>Navigators head</strong> and ask him for the <strong>necklace,</strong> eventually outright beg, until he gives it to you. Then use the <strong>necklace </strong>and you will see <strong>Guybrush</strong> put it on. Creep on board the ghost ship, <strong>Guybrush</strong> will be invisible and you’ll see some <strong>ghosts</strong> dancing around. Walkthrough to the left and open the door, inside you’ll find <strong>LeChuck</strong>, don’t move or he will hear you! Here use the <strong>magnetic compass</strong> you got from <strong>Stan</strong> on the <strong>key</strong> on the wall, exit the room and go past the dancing pirate <strong>ghosts</strong> and head down through the hatch. In the room you’ll find a <strong>sleeping ghost</strong>, walkthrough the next door. In the next room you’ll find <strong>chickens, pigs</strong> and the magical ingredient for the cannibals Ghost repellent the <strong>root, </strong>which is locked in a glowing crate. Pick up a <strong>chicken</strong>, and you will receive a <strong>feather</strong>. Walkthrough to the <strong>sleeping ghost</strong> and tickle his feet twice with the <strong>feather</strong>. He will drop a <strong>jug o’grog</strong>. Pick it up and walkthrough to the animals and use the <strong>key</strong> to unlock the <strong>hatch</strong>. Down here are some <strong>rats</strong>, a <strong>dish</strong> and a pot of <strong>cooking grease</strong>. Use the <strong>jug o’grog</strong> with the <strong>dish</strong> in front of the big <strong>rat</strong>. It will drink it and fall asleep. Pick up some of the <strong>cooking grease </strong>and walkthrough up to the deck, open the door next to the hatch. It squeaks very loudly, alerting the ghost pirates to you, so use the <strong>glob of grease</strong> on the door and open it again. Inside there is a <strong>ghost</strong> guarding <strong>Elaine’s</strong> cell, pick up the <strong>ghost tools</strong> from the wall. Walkthrough down to the glowing crate and use the <strong>ghost tools</strong> on it to open it up. Look inside it and <strong>Guybrush</strong> will pick up the <strong>root</strong>, then walkthrough to the deck, leave the ship and enter the cave. <strong>Guybrush</strong> will head out of the cave and row back to the <strong>Cannibals,</strong> cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>You’ll now get the chance to talk to a real life <strong>three-headed monkey!</strong> The <strong>Cannibals </strong>then return and give you the <strong>magic seltzer bottle</strong>. Walkthrough the entrance to the village back into the <strong>jungle</strong>,<strong> </strong>you will row and walkthrough back to the ghost ship on auto pilot. But when you get there you discover that the ship has gone! Only ghost pirate <strong>Bob</strong> is still there, he explains that he dropped his head in the lava and the others wouldn’t wait for him! When you talk to him you find out that <strong>LeChuck</strong> has sailed to Mêlée Island TM to marry <strong>Elaine</strong>. After that your crew walks on screen, talk to them and you’ll all sail back to Mêlée Island TM (or <strong>Herman </strong>will show up and you’ll go back to Mêlée Island TM with him).</p>
<h2>Part IV – Guybrush Kicks Butt</h2>
<p>You start off back on the <strong>dock</strong> of Mêlée Island TM. Walkthrough to the right and a <strong>ghost</strong> will try to stop you, choose an option from the list and <strong>Guybrush</strong> will spray him in the face with the <strong>magic seltzer bottle</strong>. Walkthrough towards the <strong>church,</strong> on the corner you’ll meet a <strong>grim spectre</strong>. Talk to him and again select a comment, <strong>Guybrush</strong> will also spray him with the <strong>magic seltzer bottle</strong>. Walkthrough the <strong>archway</strong> and inside the <strong>church</strong>. There you’ll find <strong>Elaine</strong> and <strong>LeChuck</strong> about to get married! Yell anything and <strong>Guybrush</strong> will confront <strong>LeChuck</strong>. When you talk to him you’ll see Elaine lowering herself down behind <strong>LeChuck</strong>. Talk to <strong>Elaine</strong> and you’ll discover that the bride is actually two monkeys wearing the wedding dress. The monkeys have another bottle of <strong>ghost-melting root beer </strong>on them, but <strong>Guybrush</strong> scares them away and <strong>Elaine</strong> chases after them. Talk some more with <strong>LeChuck</strong>. Eventually he will super-uppercut <strong>Guybrush</strong> so that he goes soaring over the island. When you land up at <strong>Stan’s previously owned vessels</strong> you will land inside the <strong>grog machine</strong>, some money and some <strong>grog</strong> will fall on the ground. <strong>Stan</strong> will show up, but <strong>LeChuck</strong> will quickly dispense with him. When <strong>LeChuck</strong> pulls you out of the <strong>grog</strong> <strong>machine</strong>, quickly pick up the <strong>root beer</strong> and use it on <strong>LeChuck, </strong>final cutscene with <strong>Elaine</strong>&#8230;</p>

<h2>Tales of Monkey Island Walkthrough : Spoilers Ahoy!</h2>
<h3>Tales if Monkey Island : Le Chuck&#8217;s Ship</h3>
<p>The Game starts with a long drawn out cutscene as with tradition. After which you are to construct a voodoo zombie pirate killing sword. To do this you must walk to the top of your ship and pick up the monkey coffin. Inside is a seltzer bottle full of flat rootbeer, which is the ingredient you need.</p>
<p>As with previous Monkey Island titles it isn&#8217;t that straightforward. Add the breath-mints to the seltzer bottle and you will have fizzy rootbeer which you must combine with the sword&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>Okay so now we remember it&#8217;s Monkey Island TM and we go and talk to Elaine, tell her to throw the rope, she will get you onto Le Chuck&#8217;s Ship. Once there go to Elaine&#8217;s end of the ship and use the sword on the roots of the plant. Drop the roots and the breath-mints into the barrel of grog and use the sword with it. Then use the sword with Le Chuck and you&#8217;re in business&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<h3>Tales if Monkey Island : Flotsam Island</h3>
<p>You now arrive on Flotsam Island with no hope of ever leaving (but This is THE <em>Guybrush Threepwood</em> here folks! He escaped from Monkey Island!). You talk to everyone and they tend to give you hints. Talk to the reporter and then walkthrough the town to the glassblower, ask him about the alphabet sale and then for a free vowel and you shall receive a &#8220;U-Tube&#8221; (YouTube lol!) which will be useful later. Walkthrough to the Screaming Narwhal and talk to the captain. You may notice that the sign to the left of the gang plank has half a jolly roger skull and crossbones, but it looks uncannily like a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle which is a traditional recurring theme. This gives you a clue to look in the socks on the crank line. Inside you find the Captains membership card to the exclusive pirate club you may have seen earlier. Now go to the beach and walk off towards the map on world map view it will say &#8220;Entrance to Jungle&#8221; walkthrough the pillars and talk to the portly pirate playing with dolls. He will tell you of a rare porcelain pirate &#8220;Action Figurine&#8221;. Tell him you saw it over there and then steal a pink pyjama pirate figure. Take the figurine to the reporter and dip it in the ink barrel next to him. Go into the club with your ID card&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>Once out on the street you should see a broken glass and in there will be a cocktail sword which when combiuned with the doll you have will form a &#8220;Ninja Pirate Pete&#8221;! Take this back to the portly pirate and ask him for the map he has. Walk into the jungle and find the wishing well, from there follow the animal noises you hear in accordance with the map (spontaneously generated as with Monkey Kombat from Monkey Island 4!). <p>Now walkthrough the jungle and you will discover a pile of bombs and a flyer for a pirate hunter scattered around the jungle when you find the calendar head north and you will find a new location, the creepy shack. Head back to the Screaming Narwhal and try to climb the anchor chain&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>Now that the dock is on fire you can light your bombs but be quick to get them in the underwear on the crank line before they blow up in your pocket! Once the bomb is in the underwear you have all the time in the world before the fuse burns out and it blows up, but if you talk to the Captain it will blow or if you leave the scene it will blow or if you use the crank it will blow up in your face and knock you off the dock! Use the clothesline itself (involves split second timing!) and it will blow the captain off the deck and so you become captain of the Screaming Narwhal&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>The reporter will tell you to go see deep gut in his creepy shack, walkthrough the jungle to get there and use the password he gave you &#8220;Deadline&#8221;. After the dialogue click on parrot skeleton, walk around and pick up the &#8220;Interesting bottle&#8221;, pick up the parrot also. Walk out and pick up the weather vane, then walkthrough to the docks.</p>
<p>Talk to the pirate glassblower, ask him about unbreakable bottle, use chain to board the Screaming Narwhal, walkthrough to the deck and pick up the cheese wheel. Fire the cannon and the bottle breaker is available and then leave the ship and pick up unbreakable bottle breaker. Walkthrough to the house to the right of Screaming Narwhal where the Doctor lives (he was getting busy if you tried this before you could hear him&#8230;</p>

<p>The chair can be turned left, right  backwards, frontwards or put in horizontal or vertical position!</p>
<p>Here is the very complicated sequence!</p>

<li>Right-horizontal – click on the key.</li>
<li>Back-horizontal – click on the monkey&#8217;s cage the monkey is freed</li>
<li>Left-horizontal – click on the bell and the monkey changes picture to rat-machine</li>
<li>Left-vertical – click on the right pedal and the monkey goes to the rat-machine</li>
<li>Left-vertical – click on the left pedal and the monkey gets a shock &amp; knocks down the picture!</li>
<li>Front-vertical – click on the picture of Guybrush’s hand.</li>
<li>Left-horizontal – click on the pictures.</li>
<li>Left-horizontal – click on the bell and the monkey changes picture to the skeleton hand)</li>
<li>Left-vertical – click on the right pedal and the monkey goes to the skeleton with the key)</li>
<li>Left-vertical – click on the left pedal. (the monkey gets another shock and the key sticks to it&#8217;s tail)</li>
<li>Left-horizontal – click on the bell. the monkey changes picture to the pirate</li>
<li>Left-vertical – click on the right pedal. The monkey goes to Guybrush</li>
</ul>
<p>Use unbreakable bottle breaker with unbreakable bottle (OBVIOUSLY!) Walkthrough to the beach and talk to the crusty looking pirate in front of the courthouse until he hands you the ancient crystal. Use the eye of the Manatee with the ancient scroll. Also while you’re here, use the cheese with jail carvings under the cell bars. Walkthrough to jungle entrance and head north. That cloud on the map indicates that you need to look at the weather vane in your inventory and follow the arrow. Use Hemlock’s map with the altar. Guybrush will let you know if you are doing it right or wrong by telling you, if you go astray start again from the beginning.</p>
<p>Use the ancient tool with the clamshell, this will open up all of the idols all over Flotsam island. Use the ancient weather vane with the mysterious idol and click on the mysterious idol. Match the faces on the weather vane with the idol .Use the ancient tool with the clamshell when you are done&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>Walkthrough to the right and the map of the jungle will appear, walkthrough to the enigmatic idol, repeat the steps from the previous idol. Guybrush will make a comment about the missing nose, use the flower pot with idol. Use the ancient tool with the clamshell&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>Walkthrough to the right and approach the strange idol, use the ancient weather vane on it, then use the cheese wheel on it. Walkthrough to the right twice to the altar. If you get lost, head out of the jungle, enter it and walkthrough up then right. Use the phrase “King Louis”.</p>
<p>Use the &#8220;U-Tube&#8221; (lol) with the rifle with precise timing<br />
Use messed up idol, there is no way of putting the weather vane here, so you need to listen to the Marquis, if he makes a satisfied (not a whelp of pain!) sound, the part is in the correct place&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>Walkthrough to the upper deck and use the steering wheel, then walkthrough to the lower deck and fire the cannon (timing is crucial here too!). The tar will then spill out before Winslow takes hold of the wheel. Walkthrough to the front of the main mast, otherwise you will get stuck and have to repeat that puzzle! ARGH! Grab the map hanging on the wall of the quarters and then walkthrough to Winslow and talk to him&#8230; cutscene&#8230;</p>
<p>WOOHOO! Part One Nailed and wait patiently for Part Two to be released so you can test your mettle again!</p>
